Scattered rain expected over south Luzon, east Visayas

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected over the Bicol Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Aurora, and the Eastern Visayas due to a shear line, according to PAGASA’s Saturday afternoon forecast.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rain to Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon.

The rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

In Mindanao, the Caraga and Davao Regions will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Easterlies, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides in some areas due to the prevailing weather conditions.

Strong to gale-force winds with rough to very rough seas are expected over Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, and the Visayas.

Moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas will prevail over the rest of Luzon and the Visayas, while Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Temperatures over the next 24 hours will range from 24.3°C to 29.8°C.

The sun will rise at 6:22 a.m. on Sunday. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
