Shear line, Amihan to bring clouds, rains over parts of Luzon
A shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring clouds and rains over parts of Luzon on Sunday, PAGASA said.
The Bicol Region, Quezon, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line affecting Southern Luzon. Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains.
Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA may expect cloudy skies with rains brought about by the Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may result in flash floods or landslides.
Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, and Palawan may experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Intertopical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Residents were advised to be alert for flash floods or landslides which may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of Luzon meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon, but no significant impact is expected.
The rest of the country on the other hand may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.
Coastal waters will be rough to very rough in Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
The rest of Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to rough coastal waters, while Mindanao will have slight to moderate coastal waters.
