LPA outside PAR has low chance of becoming tropical depression —PAGASA

The low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, state weather bureau PAGASA said Wednesday.

As of 8 a.m., the LPA was located at 360 kilometers northwest of Pag-asa Island in Kalayaan, Palawan.

Despite this, PAGASA said moderate to heavy rainfall may be expected over Isabela and Aurora on Wednesday to Thursday noon due to the shearline.

Rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas, and impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant antecedent rainfall, said PAGASA.
