3 weather systems cause cloudy skies, rains over parts of PH

Multiple weather systems continue to cause rainy conditions in parts of the Philippines.

According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Thursday, cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms may be expected over Batanes and Babuyan Islands due to the shear line, while Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

The easterlies will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Bicol Region, Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Luzon.

Flash floods or landslides may occur because of these weather systems.

Meanwhile, extreme Northern Luzon will have strong winds with rough waters.

The rest of Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas, while the rest of the country will feel light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:21 a.m. on Friday.  —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
