Scattered rains expected over eastern Northern Luzon
The eastern parts of Northern Luzon will experience scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the influence of a shear line, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported Sunday afternoon.
Affected areas include mainland Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao.
Meanwhile, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao and Palawan.
The Northeast Monsoon will cause cloudy skies with rain over the Batanes and the Babuyan Islands.
For the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected due to the Easterlies.
PAGASA warned that moderate to heavy rains may lead to flash floods or landslides in affected areas.
Winds would be moderate to strong in Northern Luzon, with moderate to rough coastal waters.
Over the rest of the country, winds would be light to moderate, with slight to moderate seas.
Sunrise in Metro Manila on Monday would be at 6:19 a.m. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
