3 weather systems to bring rains over parts of PH

The Northeast Monsoon (amihan), the shear line, and local thunderstorms will continue to affect different parts of the Philippines, according to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Friday afternoon.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms may be expected over Mindanao, Eastern and Central Visayas due to the Shear Line.

The Northeast Monsoon or amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The rest of Visayas will be having partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters may be felt over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

The rest of the country will observe light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:13 a.m. on Saturday. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/BAP, GMA Integrated News
