LPA, easterlies to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over PH

The Low Pressure Area (LPA) and easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over the country on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

As of 3 a.m., the LPA was estimated at 80 kilometers east northeast of Cuyo, Palawan.

Visayas, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Caraga and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed in the western section of Luzon is light to moderate moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters remain slight to moderate.

The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to southeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate with variable movement and slight to moderate coastal waters.
