Scattered rains expected over PH due to ITCZ, easterlies

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Mindanao while the easterlies will affect the rest of the country on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

Mindanao, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Eastern Samar, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon and Visayas is light to moderate moving eastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
