26 areas face ‘danger level’ heat index on Tuesday, May 20, 2025

PAGASA predicted 26 areas in the country could experience a “danger level” heat index on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
According to the state weather bureau’s 5 p.m. May 19 bulletin, the synoptic stations in the following areas will measure a 42°C-46°C heat index:

- TAU Camiling, Tarlac

- MMSU, Batac, Ilocos Norte
- Casiguran, Aurora
- Iba, Zambales
- CSLSU Muñoz, Nueva Ecija
- Cubi Pt., Subic Bay, Olongapo City
- Sangley Point, Cavite City
- Infanta, Quezon
- Masbate City
- Butuan City, Agusan del Norte

PAGASA classifies heat indices between 42°C and 51°C under the danger category. These may cause heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.
