ITCZ, easterlies mean more rain over Mindanao, Visayas, Palawan

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring rains over Mindanao and Palawan while the easterlies will affect the rest of the country in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Tuesday afternoon.

According to its latest weather forecast, the state weather bureau said the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, and Palawan.

The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over Eastern Samar, Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte.

These moderate to moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods and landslides.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will persist over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the easterlies.

These severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods and landslides.

State meteorologists said winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the whole country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:27 a.m. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
