Habagat to bring more rain over Luzon
The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is expected to bring more rain over parts of Luzon in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.
In its 5 p.m. daily weather forecast, the state weather bureau said these areas are Zambales and Bataan.
These moderate to heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides.
Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Central Luzon, and Batanes will also see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to Habagat.
Residents in the affected areas were warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms would persist throughout the rest of Luzon due to Habagat.
The same weather conditions will also be observed in Visayas and Mindanao due to localized thunderstorms.
These severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods or landslides.
State meteorologists also said winds will be moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will see light to moderate wind conditions and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:26 a.m. on Tuesday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
