Habagat, ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rains over Luzon, parts of Mindanao


The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting southern Mindanao on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.

Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Abra, Zambales, Bataan, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, Davao Occidental, Davao del Sur, and Davao Oriental will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with the possibility that flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with the possible occurrence of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The northern and western sections of Luzon wil experience moderate wind speed moving southwestward while coastal waters will be moderate.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to south direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
