PAGASA: High chance of rain in Luzon, Mindanao due to Habagat, ITCZ

Parts of Luzon and Mindanao are likely to experience a rainy Thursday due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), PAGASA said.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau also said it has spotted a low pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but which is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, Bataan, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought about by the Southwest Monsoon.

The ITCZ will trigger scattered rains and thunderstorms in Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, Davao Occidental, Davao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms also due to the Southwest Monsoon.

The rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as a result of localized thunderstorms.
