Crising slightly intensifies, may exit PAR Saturday
Tropical Storm Crising has slightly intensified as it continued to traverse the coastal waters of Calayan, Cagayan, PAGASA said in an update at 2 a.m. Saturday.
At 1 a.m., Crising was estimated to have maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center with gustiness of up to 115 km/h. Moving northwestward at 15 km/h, the tropical cyclone is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday.
Signal No. 2 was hoisted over the following areas:

- Cagayan including Babuyan Islands
- Ilocos Norte
- Apayao
- the northern portion of Ilocos Sur (Cabugao, Sinait, Magsingal, San Juan, San Ildefonso, Santo Domingo, Bantay, San Vicente, Santa Catalina, Caoayan, City of Vigan, Santa)
- the northern portion of Abra (Manabo, Pidigan, San Juan, Tayum, Langiden, Boliney, Sallapadan, Bucloc, Lagangilang, Danglas, La Paz, Licuan-Baay, Tineg, Malibcong, Peñarrubia, San Isidro, Daguioman, San Quintin, Dolores, Lagayan, Bangued, Bucay, Lacub)

''There is a minimal to moderate risk of life-threatening storm surge with peak heights reaching 1.0 to 2.0 m within 12 hours over the low-lying or exposed coastal localities of Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur,'' PAGASA said.
The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas:
• Saturday: Zambales, Bataan, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Zamboanga del Norte, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands, Davao Occidental, Davao Oriental, and Sarangani.
• Sunday: Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Camiguin, Dinagat Islands, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental.
