LPA inside PAR has 'high' potential to develop into tropical depression

LPA inside PAR has high potential to develop into tropical depression

A Low Pressure Area (LPA 07g) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has a high chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, according to PAGASA.

Meanwhile, another LPA (LPA 7h) inside PAR still has a medium potential of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat meanwhile will bring cloudy skies and rains over parts of the country.

Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Occidental Mindoro will have monsoon rains due to the Southwest Monsoon with the possibility that floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains.

Benguet, Tarlac, Marinduque, and Oriental Mindoro will have occasional rains due to the Southwest Monsoon. Residents were warned that floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA, with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Visayas, the rest of Luzon, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly occur.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may possibly result during severe thunderstorms.

The western section of Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds moving southwestward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The eastern section of Northern Luzon will have moderate winds moving in the southwest to northwest direction, and moderate coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon and Visayas may expect moderate winds moving southwestward with moderate coastal waters.

The wind speed forecast for Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
