PAGASA monitoring 3 LPAs in and outside PARĀ 

Three low pressure areas (LPA) are being monitored inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility, state weather bureau PAGASA said on Tuesday.

As of 8.a.m. Tuesday, July 22, PAGASA said the LPA located 1,140 km east of Central Luzon has a high chance of becoming a tropical depression in the next 4 hours.

“Low Pressure Area (LPA 07g) being monitored inside the PAR and is now ‘HIGH’ potential of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours,” PAGASA said.

The other LPA located 225 kilometers east of southeast Basco, Batanes still has a medium chance of becoming a tropical depression in the next 4 hours.

“Low Pressure Area (LPA 7h) is also being monitored inside PAR and still has a ‘MEDIUM’  potential of developing into tropical depression within the next 24 hours,” it said.

Meanwhile, there is a new LPA was spotted outside the PAR, which PAGASA said has a medium chance to become a tropical depression in the next 24 hours.

“Meanwhile, another Low Pressure Area (LPA 07i) is being monitored outside PAR and has ‘MEDIUM’ potential of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours,” PAGASA said.

The state weather bureau advised the public to monitor updates from the agency.
