LPA's trough to bring rains over Northern, Central Luzon

LPA's trough to bring rains over Northern, Central Luzon

A low pressure area with a small chance of becoming a tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours will affect Northern and Central Luzon, PAGASA said in its early Saturday morning forecast.

The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms because of the trough of the LPA, which was located 640 km west of Iba, Zambales at 2 a.m.

Similar weather conditions are expected in Metro Manila, Visayas, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and the Bicol Region due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

The rest of the country will experience localized thunderstorms.

Winds and coastal waters will be moderate in the northern and western sections of Luzon, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:42 a.m. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
