Scattered rains seen over Metro Manila, parts of Luzon, Visayas —PAGASA

Metro Manila and several provinces in Luzon and the Visayas are forecast to have rains on Thursday, state weather bureau PAGASA said in its 4 a.m. bulletin.

This developed as the low pressure area (LPA) estimated at 705 kiometers East of Infanta inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is seen to have a "medium" potential of developing into a tropical depression.

Due to the trough of the LPA, Metro Manila, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, and Biliran will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan will also be cloudy with scattered rains and thunderstorms as a result of the Southwest Monsoon.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms.
