LPA west of Subic Bay now Tropical Depression Jacinto


The Low Pressure Area (LPA) located west of Subic Bay has developed into a tropical depression and is now named Jacinto, state weather bureau PAGASA said on Thursday morning.

“At 8:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area west of Subic Bay developed into Tropical Depression ‘JACINTO,’” PAGASA said in an update.

“Tropical Cyclone Bulletins will be issued beginning at 11:00 AM today. All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA," it added.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya with the possibility of flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Visayas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms with possible occurrence of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. 

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.  –VAL, GMA Integrated News
