Easterlies to bring cloudy skies, rains over Luzon, Visayas

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Luzon and Visayas on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

The state weather bureau also reported that the low pressure area which was inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has dissipated, as of 2 a.m. and that no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.

Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, and Marinduque will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies with a possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Visayas, and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.

Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon and Visayas is light to moderate moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Mindanao will experience light to moderate moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
