Paolo now a typhoon

Tropical Cyclone Paolo intensified into a typhoon on Friday morning, according to state weather bureau PAGASA. 

“As of 8:00 AM today, 03 October 2025, ‘PAOLO’ (Int'l name MATMO’) intensified into a Typhoon and is still being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR),” PAGASA said in an update.

“Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal #4 will be raised over portions of Northern Luzon and Aurora,” it added.

PAGASA also said that Paolo has made landfall.

“At 9:00 AM today (October 03), the center of Typhoon #PaoloPH has made landfall over Dinapigue, Isabela,” PAGASA said in an update.
