The shear line and the northeast monsoon (amihan) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over the Northern Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Mindanao and Palawan on Friday, PAGASA reported.

The state weather bureau said Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line and that flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains.

Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Quezon and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Ilocos Region and Batanes will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon and that flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The weather for the rest of Mindanao will be cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed in Northern Luzon is moderate to strong and moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
