Shear line, Amihan to affect Northern Luzon
Provinces in Northern Luzon will experience cloudy skies and rains due to the shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), according to PAGASA's Saturday morning forecast.
Apayao, Kalinga, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line, while the Amihan will affect the Ilocos Region, Batanes, and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will prevail in Mindanao and Palawan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the easterlies.
Winds will be moderate to strong and coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Northern Luzon. For the rest of Luzon and Visayas, winds will be moderate along with moderate coastal waters.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are expected in Mindanao.
