Shear Line to bring heavy rains over Northern Luzon until Sunday - PAGASA
The Shear Line is expected to bring heavy rainfall over parts of Northern Luzon until Sunday, PAGASA said Thursday afternoon.
In its 5 p.m. weather Advisory, the state weather bureau said the heavy rainfall outlook from Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon are as follows:
Thursday to Friday afternoon (November 28)
(50-100 mm):
- Cagayan
- Apayao
- Isabela
Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon (November 29)
(50-100 mm):
- Cagayan
- Apayao
Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon (November 30)
(50-100 mm):
- Apayao
“Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas. Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant anticedent rainfall,” PAGASA said.
“The public disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property,” the agency added.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said Typhoon "KOTO" (formerly "VERBENA") is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). —RF, GMA Integrated News
