PAGASA: ITCZ, localized thunderstorms to affect parts of PH


The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and localized thunderstorms will bring cloudy skies and rain over parts of the Philippines, the state weather bureau PAGASA said. 

According to the 24-hour weather forecast issued at 4 p.m., Mindanao is expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms. 

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms brought by the localized thunderstorms. 

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides in the said due to moderate rains to severe thunderstorms. 

On the other hand, the northeast monsoon, or Amihan, will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands. However, according to PAGASA, the weather conditions will have no significant impact on the said areas. 

PAGASA also said in its forecast that light to moderate winds will be experienced in the country.
