The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will continue to affect Mindanao while the effects of the Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will be felt over Northern Luzon as the Easterlies bring isolated showers over the rest of the country on Friday, PAGASA reported.

Caraga, Davao Region, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas, said PAGASA, due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cloudy skies with rains may be expected over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao due to the Northeast Monsoon and flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Ilocos Region and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the Northeast Monsoon but this will have no significant impact in the said areas.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with the possibility that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
