Amihan, easterlies drench parts of PH — PAGASA

Rains may be expected over a large part of the country due to the easterlies and northeast monsoon (amihan), state weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday.

In its 4 p.m. advisory, PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains may prevail over Batanes and Babuyan Islands due to amihan.

The easterlies may bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms may prevail over Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA warned against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms over the affected areas.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough waters may be expected over the seaboards of extreme Northern Luzon while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water condition are forecast over the rest of Luzon and Visayas and Mindanao.

The highest temperature was recorded at 2 p.m. at 32.6 °C.

Sunset will be at 6:04 p.m., PAGASA added. — Sundy Locus/BAP, GMA Integrated News
