Localized thunderstorms to bring cloudy skies, rains over PH — PAGASA

Localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country on Monday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its 24-hour forecast issued at 4 p.m., PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, a tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility was monitored 2,820 kilometers east of the Visayas as of 3 p.m.

It has maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 215 kph. PAGASA said the cyclone is moving northwestward at 15 kph.

At the PAGASA Weather Station in Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City, the maximum temperature reached 32.8°C at 2 p.m., while the minimum dropped to 25.0°C at 5 a.m.

PAGASA said sunset is expected at 6:10 p.m. on Sunday, while sunrise on Monday is forecast at 5:44 a.m.—MCG, GMA News
