PAGASA: Sinlaku now a super typhoon

A typhoon with international name Sinlaku has developed into a super typhoon on Sunday evening, the state weather bureau said.
In an update posted at 10 p.m., PAGASA said the super typhoon is being monitored within its monitoring domain.
As of 8 p.m., Sinlaku was estimated to be 2,680 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas. According to PAGASA’s 4 p.m. daily weather forecast, “Sinlaku” is still outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
It has maximum sustained winds of 195 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness up to 240 kilometers per hour.
It is moving north-northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour. — JMA, GMA NewsMore Videos
