HPA ridges extends over Northern Luzon, localized thunderstorms to bring rains

The ridge of the High Pressure Area (HPA) will be extending over Northern Luzon while localized thunderstorms bring cloudy skies with isolated rains over parts of the country on Tuesday, PAGASA reported.

Meanwhile, Super Typhoon Sinlaku is being monitored within the monitoring domain (TCID) of PAGASA.

As of 3 a.m., Sinlaku is estimated at 2,455 kilometers east of Southern Luzon packing maximum winds of 205 kilometers per hour, gustiness of up to 250 km/h and moving north northwestward at the speed of 15 km/h.

Forecast Weather Conditions

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

The eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Northern Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to south direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
