Fair weather expected as ridge of HPA affects extreme Northern Luzon

The country will continue to experience fair weather with chances of cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms on Monday, the state weather bureau said.

This is as the ridge of a high pressure area (HPA) extends over extreme Northern Luzon.

In its 4 a.m. public weather forecast on Monday, PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

The state weather bureau said flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.

The eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience moderate winds and moderate seas.

Northern Luzon will have light to moderate winds and light to moderate coastal water conditions.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is in for light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
