Cloudy skies, rains in parts of PH due to easterlies, TD Caloy
Parts of the country will experience cloudy skies and scattered rains on Monday due to the easterlies and the trough of Tropical Depression Caloy, the state weather bureau said.
In its 4 a.m. daily weather forecast, PAGASA said Eastern Samar and Dinagat Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of Caloy.
Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
PAGASA said Caloy was estimated to be 570 kilometers (km) east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte as of 3 a.m. of May 11, or 530 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
It is packing maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km/h, and is moving west northwestward at 15 km/h.
Meanwhile, the eastern section of Central Luzon, Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas will have moderate winds and moderate seas.
The rest of the country will experience slight to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
