Low-pressure areas (LPA) are expected to develop over the Pacific Ocean during the last week of May, state weather bureau PAGASA said Wednesday.

According to a report on GMA News’ Unang Balita, PAGASA said three potential LPAs could form between May 25 and May 31.

One of the weather disturbances may develop within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Despite the projected development of the LPAs, PAGASA said the likelihood of any of them intensifying into a tropical cyclone remains low.

PAGASA noted that forecasts may still change in the coming days.

Meanwhile, easterlies are expected to bring rains over some parts of the country on Wednesday.
