Habagat to bring rains to Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan
Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan will experience cloudy skies and rains on Tuesday as a result of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, the state weather bureau said.
In its 4 a.m. public weather forecast, PAGASA said the Southwest Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan.
Localized thunderstorms will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The state weather bureau said flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas during moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Super Typhoon Francisco was estimated to be 725 km east of Tuguegarao city, Cagayan as of 3 a.m. of June 23, farther away from the landmass.
It has maximum sustained winds are now at 140 km/h near the center with gustiness of up to 170 km/h, while moving west northwestward at 30 km/h.
Meanwhile, the eastern section of Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.
Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan, and the rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
