Tropical Storm Gardo exits PAR

Tropical Storm Gardo has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Friday morning, according to PAGASA.

As of 10 a.m., the center of Gardo was estimated at 1,310 km east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 95 kmh and gusts up to 115 kmh.

PAGASA said the tropical storm will continue to move north northeastward and maintain its strength for the next 12 hours as it moves towards southern Japan.

Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat is forecast to bring strong to gale-force gusts over Luzon on Friday, and over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur on Saturday, June 27. —VAL, GMA News
