A rainy Monday will greet commuters and motorists across Metro Manila and parts of Luzon as the southwest monsoon, locally known as Habagat, continues to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains, and thunderstorms, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Meanwhile, as of 2 a.m. on July 13, 2026, a low pressure area is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility and has a "medium" chance of developing into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours.

In its daily weather bulletin, PAGASA said Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon.

The rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms brought about by the Southwest Monsoon.

Visayas and Mindanao will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as a result of localized thunderstorms.

Residents are warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
