PAGASA monitors 2 LPAs as rains persist over Luzon

Two low pressure areas (LPAs) are being monitored within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday.

According to its 4 a.m. bulletin, the LPA within PAR was last located in the vicinity of Baggao, Cagayan. Another LPA was over the coastal waters of Balaon, La Union.

Both LPAs are unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Dolphin is still being monitored outside PAR.

For the day's weather forecast, PAGASA said the Southwest Monsoon will bring scattered rains over Southern Luzon and the western section of Visayas.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA.

The Southwest Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Antique, Iloilo, and Guimaras.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
