RAINFALL ALERT: Orange in Bataan, Zambales; Yellow in Metro Manila, 6 areas (Friday 8 am)
An orange rainfall warning remains in Zambales and Bataan, while a yellow rainfall warning is up over Metro Manila and 6 nearby provinces on Friday morning.
PAGASA placed the following areas in Orange and Yellow warnings in its 8 a.m. advisory:
Orange Rainfall Warning (Flooding is still threatening)
- Zambales
- Bataan
Yellow Rainfall Warning (Possible flood in flood prone areas)
- Metro Manila
- Pampanga
- Bulacan
- Tarlac
- Rizal(Antipolo, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Angono, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Cardona, Morong, Taytay, Teresa, Tanay)
- Cavite (General Trias, Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, Alfonso, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes, Maragondon, Ternate, Naic, Indang, Tanza, Trece Martires, Dasmarinas, Rosario, Noveleta, Cavite City, Mendez)
- Batangas (Calaca, Balayan, Tuy, Nasugbu, Lian, Calatagan, Lemery) and Quezon (General Nakar)
PAGASA also said that light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are expected over Laguna, Cavite(Amadeo, Silang, Carmona, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Tagaytay), Batangas(Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balete, Batangas City, Bauan, Tanauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Lipa, Lobo, Mabini, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Santo Tomas, Taal, Talisay, Taysan, Tingloy, Laurel) and Rizal(Jala-Jala, Pililla) within the next 3 hours. Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains affecting Nueva Ecija and Quezon(Panukulan).
PAGASA said this may persist within 3 hours.
Several areas have suspended classes on Friday due to the bad weather.
PAGASA advised the public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned to monitor the weather conditions.
