RAINFALL ALERT: Red in Bataan, parts of Batangas and Cavite; orange in Metro Manila (Tuesday, 11 p.m.)
A red rainfall warning is in effect in the provinces of Bataan and parts of Batangas and Cavite due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
In PAGASA’s 11 p.m. advisory, the following areas were placed under Red, Orange and Yellow warnings:
Red Rainfall Warning (Serious flooding in flood-prone areas)
- Bataan
- Batangas (Nasugbu, Lian, Tuy, Balayan, Calatagan, Calaca)
- Cavite (Ternate, Maragondon, Magallanes, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Alfonso)
Orange Rainfall Warning (Flooding is still threatening)
- Metro Manila
- Zambales
- Bulacan
- Cavite (Amadeo, General Trias, Indang, Mendez, Silang, Tagaytay, Trece Martires, Bacoor, Carmona, Cavite City, Dasmarinas, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Imus, Kawit, Naic, Noveleta, Rosario, Tanza)
- Rizal (Rodriguez, San Mateo, Cainta, Antipolo, Taytay, Angono)
- Pampanga (Lubao, Sasmuan, Macabebe, Masantol, Floridablanca, Porac)
- Batangas (Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balete, Batangas City, Bauan, Tanauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Laurel, Lemery, Lipa, Lobo, Mabini, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Santo Tomas, Taal, Talisay, Taysan, Tingloy)
Yellow Rainfall Warning (Possible flooding in flood-prone areas)
- Tarlac
- Pampanga (Apalit, Arayat, Bacolor, Candaba, San Fernando, Magalang, Mexico, Minalin, San Luis, San Simon, Santa Ana, Santo Tomas, Angeles, Mabalacat, Guagua, Santa Rita)
- Laguna (San Pedro, Santa Maria, Mabitac, Pakil, Siniloan, Famy, Pangil, Cabuyao, Binan, Santa Rosa, Calamba)
- Rizal (Tanay, Baras, Binangonan, Cardona, Jala-Jala, Morong, Pililla, Teresa)
Meanwhile, expect light to moderate rain with occasional heavy rains over Laguna (Alaminos, Bay, Calauan, Liliw, Los Banos, Luisiana, Magdalena, Majayjay, Nagcarlan, Pagsanjan, Pila, Rizal, San Pablo, Santa Cruz, Victoria, Cavinti, Kalayaan, Lumban, Paete) within the next three hours.
Light to moderate rain with occasional heavy rain will also affect Nueva Ecija and Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta, Real), which may persist within three hours and may impact nearby areas.
PAGASA advised the public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned to monitor the weather conditions and watch for the next warning to be issued at 2 a.m. Wednesday. —LDF, GMA News
