Returning The Clash contender Bea Sacramento had an eventful childhood, to say the least. Six-year-old Bea, together with some of her family, moved to Baguio City for good but not without major life adjustments.
In an interview with GMA Regional TV News, Bea talked briefly about her youthful years where singing became a safe haven.
According to the 23-year-old clashbacker, it was a practical decision by her father that prompted their move to the north.
She bared, however, this life transition encountered some roadblocks following his father getting diagnosed with cancer.
Things got a bit more complicated for their family.
In school, like most transferees, she admittedly had a hard time integrating herself into friend groups, claiming “lagi akong nabu-bully nung elementary ako kasi hindi ako fit sa group na meron yung mga kaklase ko, actually transferee ako kasi sa school na yun.
But it was Bea’s singing, according to her, that paved the way for these barriers to slowly vanish.
“Most of the time nabu-bully ako eh, pero nung nalaman nilang singer ako, nagbago ang ihip ng hangin,” she quipped, “Nag-iba yung tingin nila sa akin, yung pakikitungo nila– buti na lang may talent ako!”
Bea officially joined The Clash 2025 when she was announced to be one of the 12 returning clashbackers. She first joined the Kapuso singing reality show in its inaugural season in 2018. She entered the Clash Arena as a 16-year-old aspirant, but did not reach the second round of the competition.
The Clash airs at 7:15 p.m. on Sundays only on GMA Network.
