Authorities arrested three men with packs of suspected shabu worth more than P54 million in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Zamboanga City on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zamboanga (PDEA-9) arrested alias “Rudy,” 39, a resident of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, and alias “Boss Al,” 28, a resident of Barangay Dao, Pagadian City during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cabatangan at around 12:30 p.m.

Seized during the buy-bust operation were suspected shabu weighing around three kilos worth around P20.4 million, several non-drug items, a vehicle, and other personal belongings.

Authorities tagged the suspects as high value targets in the illegal drug trade.

Meanwhile, later in the evening, PDEA-9 agents also arrested a jeepney dispatcher with suspected shabu worth around P34 million in Barangay Culianan.

The suspect was identified as a 35-year-old resident of Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City.

Confiscated from his possession were sachets of suspected shabu weighing around five kilos.

All suspects are now detained and will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).
