Two separate road accidents involving motorcycles and a bus that allegedly beat the red light were captured on video in Cebu.
One of the accidents occurred at the Dan N. Bacalso Intersection in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City.
In the video, two motorcycles are seen stopping as the traffic light turned orange, which cautions vehicles to stop.
However, a bus following behind failed to hit the brake in time and hit one of the motorcycles, causing it to topple and sustain damage.
Fortunately, the rider was unharmed, and both parties reportedly settled the matter.
“Mo-beating gyud to siya kay nagdahom to siya nga katong motor nga nag-una niya mo beat sad. Nagtuo man gud sila nga once dunay caution nga suga nagtuo sila nga pwede pa sila makatabok.
Meanwhile, another accident occurred when a northbound motorcycle rider beat the red light and collided with another motorcycle crossing the intersection.
CCTV footage showed the signal was already on stop for northbound and southbound traffic, while the crossing lane had the go signal.
The crash resulted in minor injuries and damage to the motorcycle, but both sides reportedly reached an agreement.
Tumulak reminded motorists not to force their way through when the stop signal is on to avoid accidents.
