A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck off the coast of Baganga, Davao Oriental around 10:32 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2026.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the quake had a depth of seven kilometers and is tectonic in origin.

PHIVOLCS earlier reported the magnitude at 5.2 before downgrading it to 5.0.

Intensity IV was felt in Baganga town; Intensity III in Cateel town; Intensity II in the towns of Boston, Manay, and Tarragona; and Intensity I in Banaybanay.
