Four people, including a minor, were killed while four others were injured after they got shot during an alleged illegal drug transaction in Kadayangan, Special Geographic Area of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (SGA-BARMM) on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Police said three of the fatalities were found lifeless inside a house in Barangay Malingao around 8:40 a.m.

Five other men were brought to a hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds.

However, one of them, a 17-year-old boy, died while undergoing treatment.

Authorities recovered several empty shells from 5.56 caliber firearm at the crime scene.

According to the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), the shooting may have been related to illegal drugs.

“According sa nakuha nating information from the witnesses and investigator-on-case, malamang drug-related kasi itong naging motive ng nangyaring shooting incident,” PRO-BAR Spokersperson, Capt. Steffi Salanguit, said.

Authorities are still investigating the incident and pursuing the suspects, including the identified persons of interest.
