He has been recognized twice by the Philippine Statistics Authority in 2022 and 2023 as Best Statistical Reporter in Online Media for “accurate, timely, and significant use of statistics exemplifying wide reach and impact through public service in pursuit of delivering evidence-based reports” as well as by the Department of Budget and Management as Online Journalist of the Year (2024) for his “outstanding service in journalism and commitment to shaping an informed citizenry.”
Ted was also among the 10 Filipino journalists selected to participate in the pioneering Friends, Partners, Allies three-week journalism training program in the United States.
