Trillanes on ‘arresting’ unit: I-intercept daw ako at ‘di na pababalikin

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV claimed Saturday in an interview on dwIZ that an order for his arrest remains active and that the arresting unit trained on him is merely waiting for an opening.

Trillanes claimed he and his camp have received information straight from the arresting unit that he will be nabbed if he tries to set foot outside the Senate or is in a vulnerable position outside it.

Sasarhan lang ako tapos kahit nasan ako iintercepten," he said.

Trillanes also noted that his camp is making the necessary security arrangements after they plated the vehicles that had allegedly kept surveillance on his movements.

He noted that his family was already psychologically and emotionally prepared for this scenario as it had happened before.

"This is not the first time na pinagdaraanan nila ito. Kahit papano nakapaghanda na sila psyhologically and emotionally.

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana denied Friday the existence of an arrest or surveillance order against Trillanes.

Trillanes was allowed to stay on Senate premises by Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III following President Rodrigo Duterte's order to revoke the amnesty granted to the opposition senator in 2011.

DND records

The application form for amnesty that the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 150 is seeking, he said, was the problem of the DND's custodian of records and must be produced by them for the warrant request to be processed.

He said he was happy with both Branch 148 and Branch 150's thoroughness in processing the petition for arrest warrant and HDO as it showed adherence to the law, something which the senator believes the President is not observing.

— MDM, GMA News
