Boracay tourists and residents surf, scuba, and kayak in Urduja flood

Amidst the ravages of Tropical Depression Urduja in Biliran and other areas in Visayas, tourists and residents in Boracay are making the most out of the floods and are using the floodwaters for various watersports, GMA News stringer Peewee Bacuño reported.

Gha Pineda took a picture of two foreign tourists kayaking down a road as locals watched on.

A local was seen paddleboarding as someone else kayaked behind him in one photo while a man surfed along the murky water of the streets in another.

Perhaps most amusingly of all, a man opted to go scuba diving in the street outside a diving shop in a photo by RK Katipunan.

Tropical Depression Urduja made landfall over Taytay, Palawan on Monday, bringing with it maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
