Driver who crashed into Bolado's motorcycle still at-large —girlfriend

The driver of the car that hit former PBA player Cris Bolado's motorcycle in the accident leading to his death remains at large.

His girlfriend Anne Christine Waje revealed this to GMA News Online in a Facebook interview.

"Tumakas 'yung driver nung sasakyan na nakabangga sa kanya. Sa ngayon po talaga wala pa ako balita sa suspect pero nasa mga police na 'yung naiwang sasakyan," she said.

On Sunday, Bolado was involved in a motorcycle accident in Cambodia, where he runs a restaurant with Waje. His left foot was badly damaged and he died en route to the hospital.

Waje said she is planning to file a case against the driver after Bolado is laid to rest in the Philippines.

"Ang sabi ng Philippine Embassy representative, aasikasuhin nila 'yon after na ng burial sa Philippines. Pagbalik ko na dito ulit," Waje said.

She said they are targeting to repatriate Bolado's body on Sunday via Malaysian Airlines. While documents are still being processed, Bolado's body is in a mortuary.

Waje added that they are planning to hold Bolado's wake in his hometown, Lucban, Quezon. —JST, GMA News
