Training pods are the new normal in California gym

By Racquel Quieta

A gym in California, U.S.A. called Inspire has installed plastic pods or training pods where their clients can work out while ensuring that social distancing is observed.

A California gym's social distancing solution: the plastic pods!

The innovative social distancing pods are made of affordable and practical materials such as PVC pipes and plastic.

Aside from having plastic pods or dividers inside their gym, part of their safety protocols are observing social distancing, hand sanitation, temperature check, and signing of COVID-19 waiver.

They also have two other options for their clients to choose from: an outdoor class workout or a Zoom workout class led by gym owner and instructor Peet Sapsin.

Gyms and fitness centers in the Philippines have been recently allowed to reopen on September 1, with operations limited only to 30% capacity for those under the general community quarantine (GCQ) and 50% for those under the modified GCQ.

Same safety protocols are also implemented in the Philippines in gyms and fitness centers in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

The bright side is that businesses that had been badly affected by the pandemic are starting to get back on their feet, and there's a ray of hope that soon the world will return to the pre-pandemic normal that many have been longing for.
