Vicky Morales grateful for warm reception to all-new 'Wish Ko Lang' episodes

It's been almost a month since the return of 'Wish Ko Lang', and the Fairy Godmother ng Bayan Vicky Morales feels extremely grateful for the warm reception of the viewers and netizens to their all-new episodes.

“Sobrang thankful. Thankful to our network for believing it's the kind of show we all need right now.

“And thankful to all the people who spend their Saturday afternoons watching our special episodes.

“They are the reason why the show is back, and the reason why we are happy to do this even with all the challenges.”

Vicky also shared that even though she's not able to give a hug to the people they are helping due to safety protocols during shoots amid the COVID-19 pandemic, granting wishes is still an emotional experience just the same.

“I still have to learn how to get used to standing a few meters away from the people we're interviewing. And I'm no longer able to offer them a hug or a shoulder to cry on like before.

“But what's interesting is that mas ramdam pa namin ngayon ang puso ng mga taong tinutulungan ng aming show. Perhaps it's because we're all feeling more vulnerable these days--and that we're all just focused on helping each other survive each day.

“You see little children stepping up to help their father who has lost his job because of the pandemic.

“You see a housewife laboring in the construction site because her husband has lost his job in the city and has been stranded because of the lockdown.

“In most of our cases, you get the feeling na Wish Ko Lang ang huling baraha ng mga pamilyang itinatampok namin, kaya sinisikap talaga naming ibuhos ang lahat ng tulong na kaya naming ibigay.”
